AWARD SEASON NEWS: The Stars Shine at the Golden Globes

January 18, 2010

 Hello readers,

The 67th Golden Globe Awards was entertaining to watch this year. With every year that passes in the world of movies, the awards shows continue to give us the highlights and the moments you will read about in the news the next day. Comedian Ricky Gervais kept the audience laughing for the three hour event. Although, some of his jokes were a bit flat, he did a decent job as host and I hope that we get to see more of him in the near future. Let me get off my soapbox and present to you, the winners of the 67th Annual GOLDEN GLOBES!

From the tearjerkers to the flights of fantasy, I have witnessed so many adventures to truly appreciate the cinematic art form.  I am surprised that after seeing over one hundred films, my mind has not turned to mush or that I quote movies on a daily basis by now. This year’s top film list is my very first as a online critic. I have to admit that I was surprised at my selections because it was quite a challenge to choose the best of the best. And now, ladies and gentleman….

Up, Up, & Away in several balloons

Up, Up, & Away in several balloons

Recently I had the distinct pleasure of going Up, Up, & Away in an old armchair that’s attached to several balloons.  I bet you are wondering am I trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. Not at all, but I had taken part in the Up, Up, and Away Tour at the NEWSEUM in Washington, DC. This tour is to help promote the latest Disney/Pixar movie Up, which is playing in theatres right now!
