MOVIE REVUE: Seeking (and Finding) a Film for the End of the Week

We’ve seen dramatic and extreme post-apocalyptic thrillers almost as many times as we’ve survived the Rapture, and it is hard to imagine that anyone can interpret the theme in a way that would make a movie more enjoyable. However, none of the previous films starred Steve Carrell or stayed completely in the pre-apocalyptic world. As it turns out, these two facts make a huge difference.

MOVIE REVUE: Crazy Stupid Summer Lovin’

The summer of 2011 has had its share of his and misses throughout the season. Then Crazy, Stupid, Love comes along and delivers the summer of love for 2011. It’s one of the most brilliantly written romantic comedies to come out in theatres in recent years. It broke the mold of the recent rom-com trends of bringing load stars and shoves them into a film that tells one too many stories to make your head spin. The script has genuine originality and takes readers into a uncharted waters. CSL takes us on the journey of three love stories that we could all relate to at one point in our natural lives. We start with a love that lost and how to move on; a love that fight to have and to hold, and the love that you never expected. With a wonderful cast and solid script, Crazy, Stupid, Love will teach you to understand love; you need to understand the pain in the game of love.
