“Crossroads” has a rather interesting opening with Lights eating at his sister Margaret’s diner, being offered detailed notes about all the dirty tricks to expect in his upcoming fight against El Diablo Morales, from none other than Death Row Reynolds himself. Throughout it, Lights seems unfazed telling Reynolds “I just like to punch people”. Some people don’t care for the tactic used at the very beginning pre-credits sequence of the fight getting underway and quickly switching gears right as Morales charges Lights after the round 1 bell is sounded, but I like it. It’s a ploy, sure, but it gets the excitement going, knowing what’s in store later on.
