Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, he was 57 years old. Swayze was a fixture in the 1980′s movie scene. It is hard to imagine that it was only 27 years ago; this wonderful actor was first known to the movie world as Darrel “Darry” Curtis, the older brother to C. Thomas Howell & Rob Lowe in the Francis Ford Coppola epic The Outsiders. Little did we know that we were seeing a star in the making? He followed that success next year in a movie called Red Dawn where he meets a co-star that will cement his celebrity status until the end of time.
