Sister to Sister’s Erick Boston and UrbanFilmPremiere.com’s Shelby J Jones along with me interview Michael Ealy. He plays Dominic the dreamer in the new Tim Story’s movie “Think Like a Man”, opening in theatres tomorrow.

MOVIE REVUE: For Girls…Take Responsibility

Adapted from Ntozake Shange’s For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, director Tyler Perry does his best to walk a thin line between a theatrical play and a movie.  Unfortunately, there are distinct differences between what works well on stage and what works well on screen.  Sure, some things translate across both, but a lot of what appears on the screen in this film doesn’t.  One can only assume that Perry tried his best to pay homage to this warmly embraced stage production while putting a Hollywood spin on it.

MOVIE REVUE: Heist À la Carte

In a decade that has seen a slew of ensemble heist films (i.e. The Ocean’s Eleven film series, Swordfish, The Italian Job, The Bank Job, and more recently with Armored, Inception, as well as the upcoming The Town), comes the John Luessenhop directed Takers.  Set in the industrious, upscale backdrop of LA, the film follows a band of thieves who must deal with a hard-nosed detective and the unlikely return of one of their own as they try to executive one big, final “score.”  So can these “takers” handle these challenges and disappear into the sunset (money in hand) completely unscathed?
