Lena Horne
I can remember the first time I heard Lena’s legendary song Stormy Weather for the very first time. I was watching a Disney VHS Golden Oldies at home at the tender age of ten. I was watching this particular music video with Stormy Weather playing in the background. My mother then told me all about Lena Horne and how she became one of the most popular African American performers of all time. She was a voice that could never be imitated nor duplicated. The great Lena Horne has passed on from heart failure at the tender age of 92.
