Listen up, today’s moviegoers! I want you to close your eyes and think about a special era of movies. Imagine going to the movies without seeing the usual state of the art computer graphics, a sensational soundtrack that fills the scenery or a stellar cast of celebrities that could make or break a film. Silent movies were all the rage and George Valentin was the king. He had it all and even discovered a fresh new talent in Peppy Miller along the way. Soon, the new wave of sound takes over Hollywood and will turn the fates of Mr. Valentin and Ms. Miller. The Artist is a film that takes us back to a Hollywood where seeing movies costs a nickel and no gimmicks were needed to capture our attention. For a movie lover, it’s the closest thing to nirvana. For everyone else, it’s a wonderful, whimsical world!
