AWARD SEASON NEWS: 2011 Golden Globes Nominees

This morning, the 68th Annual Golden Globe Nominees were announced! Among the heavy hitters this year were, by no surprise, The Social Network, The King’s Speech and The Fighter. While this year’s nominees seemed decent, there are a few questionables in the crowd. For example, why did The Tourist get three nominations for doing such an average job of capturing the audience and the remake of True Grit which had such amazing talent from Jeff Bridges and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld got shutout completely. In addition, one categories of nominees doesn’t fit with the category at all. I hope that I am not the only one who notice this mess. Nonetheless, the Golden Globes have predicted 18 of the 20 Oscar nods last year.
