
When a film taps into a recurring theme like the fabled existence of complication-free ‘relations’, it stands to reason that aspects of it’s script would appear like faded remnants of rom-coms in the past. These days it’s hard to talk about anything relevant to modern sexuality and relationships without inadvertently naming a handful of clichéd movie titles, and you’d think that Friends With Benefits would be no exception. Surprisingly, it is.
