Finally! We have a movie in 2012 that is worth every minute and every penny. If your kids (or you, for that matter) cannot stop singing “Circus! Afro!” then go ahead and see Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted in 3D. It is the most clever, fun, and exciting animated film to hit theaters in a long time.

With a mini Saturday Night Live reunion that could make Lorne Michaels blush, Grown Ups delivers the ultimate comedy ensemble fail of the summer season. You would honestly think that with the talent these five comedians possess that we would have a great comedy film about reuniting and family. Unfortunately, Grown Ups tried too hard to be a decent family comedy that it was a miracle that anyone breezed through their awkward moments of growing up.

MOVIE REVUE: It’s Good Hair or No Hair at All

It all started with a question from comedian Chris Rock’s five-year-old daughter Lola. She asked her father, “Daddy, how come I don’t have good hair?” This made Rock wondered what it is about the hair of African-American women that drives them wild. Why do they spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars shaping it up for a night out on the town? And the age old question, why do African-American men have the golden rule of not touching African-American women’s hair? All of these questions and a whole lot more get answered as we take a journey into the new documentary, Good Hair.
