And so goes another in the long line of poorly thought out decisions in the span of Theon’s relatively short reign as the new Lord of Winterfell. First it was the actual taking of Winterfell, then it was the execution of Rodrik, then it was succumbing to the temptations of Osha, and now it is the continued interrogation of the farmers of Winterfell in the search for Bran. His bluff (?) at the end of the episode – intended for Maester Luwin I presume—was baffling. If he’s claiming that one of the charred children was actually Bran, this tactic will only work for a short while as news of Bran’s escape and presumable recovery will break soon. Is Theon really that short-sighted?
