Today, Chuck Todd (NBC News) won his “Jeopardy! Power Players” match, earning $50,000 on behalf of the charity Samaritan Inns, an organization that provides structured housing and recovery services for the homeless as well as men and women who suffer from addiction. Todd first volunteered with the organization nearly a decade ago and has been involved ever since.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces their second Tweet-Up for the World Premiere of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play on Saturday, May 26th at 5:30pm. Woolly’s inaugural Tweet-Up during the World Premiere of Civilization (all you can eat) sparked much debate in the theatre community, the press, and beyond about the use of technology in the artistic process. First Look at Upcoming Fan Film Polaris
May 1, 2012Polaris is a short science fiction film inspired by Sci-fi movies of the 1950s and 60s. A co-production of United Worlds Pictures and Farragut Films, Polaris was shot in Maryland on a shoestring budget by a volunteer cast and crew headed by Director of Photography Alex Ibrahim and first-time director Dennis Russell Bailey. Production commenced in December of 2009 and wrapped in July 2011. They’re currently in post-production working with editor and producer Maurice Molyneaux, effects house NEO f/x and composer Hetoreyn. Release is scheduled for mid-2013.
HBO renews Real Time with Bill Maher for 2 more seasons

HBO has renewed REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER for its 11th and 12th seasons, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO programming. Currently in its tenth season, the talk show has been picked up through 2014 as part of Maher’s new three-year deal with the network.
