Power Players” match, earning $50,000 on behalf of Pine Hills Literacy Project, an organization that strives to improve reading skills and develop a lifelong love of reading for students in first through sixth grade. The project is conducted in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club in Auburn, Ala. Gibbs set up the program to give greater educational opportunities to those in his hometown.

HBO is partnering with VICE on an innovative news magazine show to be hosted by VICE founder Shane Smith, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. The weekly series will be executive produced by Bill Maher, Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti, VICE’s chief creative officer, with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria serving as consultant.
