Green Day’s american IDIOT (Work Light Productions) plays at the Hippodrome through Sunday, May 12th.
I would typically warn that this is a non-Equity cast, but this cast proves that talent doesn’t have to be in a union to exist!

THEATRE REVUE: I Wanna Rock…and I Did!!
September 15, 2012
The Filene Center, in what was the best weather of the season, rocked the night away. I won’t compare the show to the movie and performance versus performance because that isn’t fair. I will say however, that the story that the movie brought made waaaaaaay more sense.
THEATRE REVUE: The King and I at Wolf Trap
September 5, 2012
Well, as boring as my title is, that’s how boring “The King and I” was. I’m not going to go too far with this revue because I know that I was in the minority! I will start by saying that, “The King and I” is a show that I have avoided performing in, for my whole career. It is usually a show that I like to watch occasionally, but after seeing this incarnation, I do not need to see it again for a long time! After seeing the non-union production of, “South Pacific” earlier in the season at Wolf Trap, I expected this union production to blow me away and it barely kept me awake! Right from the get-go, I was bored.
THEATRE REVUE: How to Train Your Dralion in Charm City
August 23, 2012For those who do not know, I am a bonafide fan of Cirque Du Soleil. Ever since my first experience in 2007 with the production of Kooza in National Harbor, I wanted to witness more of what this amazing circus troupe from Canada can do. Since Kooza, I have seen three other productions (Ovo, Totem, and Quidam) in the DC/Baltimore Metro areas. Every show delivers outstanding performances that are beyond words. I cannot believe what appeared before my eyes last night when I sat in my seat at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore. Only months since the MJ Immortal Tour, Cirque is BACK with the production that launched the Cirque connection for Charm City way back in 2003. Mix fascinating doses of western and eastern cultures with live music, astonishing acrobats, and crazy comedic clowns and you’ve got Dralion!
THEATRE REVUE: Here Be Dragons in DC

If you want to take your family on a night out, then look no further for this show takes you on a journey you’ll talk about all summer long.
THEATRE REVUE: The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs left me with more agony than the ecstasy that I was expecting!
July 20, 2012
“The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs” is now playing at the Woolly Mammoth Theater in D.C. The misnomer here is “Steve Jobs”. While he is a main thread through the entire evening, putting his name in the title is simply to get people into the seats. I would have enjoyed the show more, if I didn’t have the expectation or preconceived notion that this would be about the life of Steve Jobs.
THEATRE REVUE: The Pirates of Penzance @ Wolf Trap Review
July 5, 2012It’s a pirate’s life for me!!
The Gilbert and Sullivan Players performing the classic, “Pirates of Penzance” came to take the area by storm, little did they know the derecho was brewing up it’s own storm!
The Normal Heart is Beating Strong at Arena Stage
June 20, 2012
I had the absolute pleasure of watching pure genius and expert talent come together, the other night in the Kreeger Theater at Arena Stage.
What a thought provoking show! The combination of statistical information and facts combined with humor, rolled with brilliant acting, made for a play that is now on my, “everyone must-see list”. I am already planning when to take friends back and when to take family! There are very few shows, if any, that have a serious subject matter that I would watch over and over again and come out feeling uplifted. This play is written in such a unique way. I really can’t get over it! Having missed the show on Broadway last season, I only knew the synopsis. Which, as you all know, I won’t give away here! I will say that because the play revolves around the beginning of the HIV/Aids epidemic in the early 1980′s, it is easy to expect a somber evening. Playwright Larry Kramer has just the right amount of jocosity seamlessly braided through his story. Alright, so you get my point! On to the actors…
