Star Trek Into Darkness Launches at Smithsonian IMAX Theaters May 15 and May 31

 

Paramount’s Star Trek Into Darkness will open at the Airbus IMAX Theater at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va., May 15 and in IMAX 3-D at the Samuel C. Johnson IMAX Theater at the National Museum of Natural History May 31. Tickets to see the film at the Hazy Center are on sale at www.si.edu/imax. Tickets to see the film at the Johnson IMAX Theater go on sale Friday, May 17, on the same website.

Landmark Theatres Announces Total Renovation Complete and Re-Opening of Bethesda Row Cinema!

Theatre to reopen Friday, May 3, 2013

Landmark Theatres, a Wagner/Cuban Company, today announced the extensive renovation and complete remodel of one of Landmarks’ premiere theatres, the Bethesda Row Cinema near Washington, D.C. The theatre will showcase a number of brand new, modern amenities including the addition of a full-service bar, luxury reserved seating in each auditorium, RealD 3D projection and an expanded concession menu. Each of the eight auditoriums has been outfitted with new screens, sound systems and special leather chairs designed to provide maximum comfort to patrons. Plus, the theatre has installed a new digital system that will provide a satellite feed for live domestic and international performances.

Dallas Buyers Club, currently in post-production, has been acquired by Focus Features for domestic theatrical release in the second half of 2013. The company has also acquired Latin American rights to the feature. Focus CEO James Schamus and Focus president Andrew Karpen made the announcement today.
