Vicente Fernández Releases the gorgeous love song “Cuando Manda El Corazón” The Theme Song to the Telenovela “Amor Bravío” Debuting Soon in the United States. U.S. Tour Dates Set and Include September 28 Show at the Patriot Center
A passionate flamenco guitar frames the unmistakable voice of living legend Vicente Fernández on his latest single, the lovely romantic song, “Cuando Manda El Corazón” (When the Heart Rules).
“Cuando Manda El Corazón” is taken from Los Dos Vicentes (The Two Vicentes), the most recent album by Vicente Fernández, which also features several songs by his oldest son, Vicente Fernández Abarca.
As the expressly commissioned theme song for the telenovela Amor Bravío, starring Silvia Navarro and Cristian de la Fuente, “Cuando Manda El Corazón” was written by Jorge Eduardo Murguía.
Vicente Fernández, who is retiring from live performing after concluding his current tour, makes this song a true love poem and shows us once again why he remains the King of Rancheras, some 46+ years into his recording career.
As the lyrics (translated from Spanish) say:
“I give you my soul / For you to do what you will with me / because I’m in love / And disarmed by your side / I give you my life / because I want to make you feel / that I love you too much / and I can’t help myself / that’s how it is / one can’t control it / that’s what being in love is / when the heart rules.”
This isn’t the first time that the Vicente Fernández, known as the Cowboy of Huentitán, has been associated with telenovela theme songs. His other telenovela hits include “Me Voy A Quitar De En Medio” (I’ll Get Out of the Way) from the telenovela La Mentira (The Lie) and “Para Siempre” (Forever) from the telenovela Fuego En La Sangre (Fire in The Blood).
His previous single, titled “El Vestido Blanco” (The White Dress), added to his long list of sterling hits.
Vicente Fernandez will tour the U.S. starting next month and will include a stop at the Patriot Center on September 28th.
