The GI Film Festival exposes its funny bone with the announcement that Longhorn the Comedian will perform at the 2012 GI Film Festival on Sunday, May 20, 2012. The performance will take place during the final awards ceremony at the U.S. Navy Memorial.
Longhorn The Comedian (or LH, as he is called by his fans) is known far and wide as one of the “Cowboys of Comedy.” And, he actually IS a real cowboy. Born and raised in Temple, Texas, he has traveled all over the country sharing his unique style of humor that he calls “Longhorn Comedy”. Longhorn Comedy is a mix of blue collar, urban, mainstream comedy, and with a dash of great positive messaging all rolled into one.
LH has been crisscrossing North America and Europe delivering “Longhorn Comedy” to his devoted fans in all sorts of venues: from bars, night clubs, and comedy clubs to colleges and military bases. Longhorn has a long history of charitable acts of kindness. He has worked with Fishing for Freedom, Wounded Warriors and on behalf of Haiti Earthquake Relief. Longhorn has also done two comedy tours in Europe for the troops.
“Sunday is a day of celebration and fun. Not only are we presenting awards to deserving films and filmmakers, we are celebrating the success of the festival and all it represents,” stated Brandon Millett, GI Film Festival Co-Founder and President. “‘Longhorn The Comedian’s’ performance will be one of the many highlights of the day.”
