Madea’s back & bigger than ever in the brand new production of TYLER PERRY’S MADEA’S BIG HAPPY FAMILY - SEPTEMBER 24TH – 26TH. Tyler Perry’s latest hit stage play continues its history-making run across the country for five shows at the Verizon. For the fans who didn’t get a chance to see him up close and in person earlier this year will now have a chance to see him LIVE in Madea’s Big Happy Family.
“If you’ve never seen a Madea play, then you haven’t seen Madea at all. It is an experience, just ask someone who’s seen it,” said Tyler Perry. Madea’s Big Happy Family focuses on a middle-aged single mother named Miss Shirley (Chandra Currelley-Young), who has just received a diagnosis of terminal cancer. Withthe help of Madea, she assembles her grown children (and their significant others) for one final reunion, during which loyalties are tested and unpleasant truths are spilled. Everything that happens as a result of Shirley’s major announcement will either bring the family closer together or tear them apart forever. Madea, Shirley’s closest friend and confidant, tries to step in and help Shirley’s family find their way, Madea’s way.
The play features the talents of some of Tyler Perry’s most notable fan favorites including Cassi Davis of “House of Payne” fame in the role of weed-smoking Aunt Bam, Palmer Williams Jr., who plays barber Floyd on “House of Payne” as the crack head brother Monroe, R&B
singing sensation Cheryl “Pepsii” Riley, and actress/singer Chandra Currelley-Young.
